The fourth series of training aids for Korea’s traditional architecture education, Jongmyo Shrine Jeongjeon. Jongmyo Shrine Jeongjeon is the royal family’s shrine building that has enshrined the ancestral tablet of the king, queen of many generations, and that of the king and queen, followed as the king after their death, which is a long building of 101m, and becomes the center of Jongmyo Shrine. It is the National Treasure #227.

This building was more widely known by the Canadian architect Frank O Gehry.

The scale model for the education of architecture is very important for us to grasp easily the structure of the building. However, the educational scale model of Korea’s traditional building is hard to find, and if any, it is very different from its real form, in most of cases, according to the characteristic of materials.
Using 3D printing, it is possible to produce any form that is suitable for producing training aids for architecture education so we made the training aid of maquette for Korea’s traditional education.

It was designed as an assembly type, divided in two parts of roof and room, and produced in the structure that needs no support, so that it could be printed out by small 3D printer, distributed mostly to the educational area. The roof part may not be well printed out, and in this case it is recommended to lower the print speed.
If it is necessary to use adhesive, it is recommended to use adhesive for paper or woodwork because it becomes transparent after drying.

It was produced by a size of 670mm (width) x 178m (depth) x 102mm (height).
