It is the first foldable biomechanics to prepare 4D printing. This design was inspired by the biomechanics that appeared in the British drama "Doctor Who" (1963).
This product focuses on the reinterpretation of the original form in a modern way and the production of a new proportion.
This is the kind of "3D Fan art". My imagination has been added so it is difficult to see the original shape before folding it.
In particular, I made it possible to open and close the outer armors to see the inside. This interior was filled with my imagination.Even if this is different from the original, please understand.
The telescopic manipulator arm and the eye of the head are designed to have a separate print structure. The part of the eye that is attached to the head of this can be rotated by 90 degrees.
When inserting the telescopic manipulator arm, first push the arm down and then fold it in. There is an additional part of the arm which has a keyhole shape. Please check the shape carefully and insert it.
The chest is designed to open on both sides. The lower part of the body is designed to open and close while sliding forward.
Designed for easy folding of complex structures, this product has been designed to meet the needs of popular 4D printing in the future.
It will revolutionize 3D printing as a totally new structure design that does not need to be supported nor assembled, just fold.
※ Do not use filament manufactured by fillamentum. The filament is hard and breaks well in the process of folding the robot. ※
How to fold, please check the video below.

Hello,
Could you let me know which settings I should use , on your information you have two different settings for the Simplify 3D program.
Many thanks for your help.
Regards Werner
Can this be scaled up much?
Very beautiful
Thank you so much~ Please enjoy~
When your gold runs out and you switch to silver
Wow~~~ Very creative color usage!!! Awesome!!! Thank you~~~
Has anyone printed it successfully scaled down at all?
We printed 70% scale then it was no problem.
What filament do you recommend?
We mainly use PLA. As shown on the right side of the page, we mainly use esun, colorfabb, Hatchbox, prusa, Polymaker, spoolworks, and other PLAs. However, Filamentum's PLA filament breaks well.
Hi. The model is missing the two separate smaller pieces for end of the one arm and the head. Can you please tell me how to get those? Thanks.
We have confirmed and corrected the data. Please download it again.
BTW, I noticed the main body file in the new download is larger. Can you tell me what the differences are? Thanks.
The designer made a mistake. Download the latest file.
Thanks
Wondering if supports are necessary.
It does NOT need any support at all! Thanks.
