GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf.   This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.

The feature of a foldable car is that it can be designed to move several parts without assembly. Moving structures of existing car models are adding new structures one by one to implement in foldable design. The foldable van designed this time has realized two new moves with another new challenge.
First, we realized the rear door of the hinged type. Though the hinges are somewhat exposed, the actual hinges are also visible, so this design is not much different from the actual one.
Secondly, we recreated the sliding side door movement. This structure is the first structure made in 3D printing design, and there will be various uses for foldable design in the future.

The Ford E series refers to a series of van cars manufactured by Ford since 1960. The design of the fourth generation has been produced so far, and the chosen one as a foldable van is the second generation design. The second-generation Ford Econoline van was produced from 1968 to 1974.

The reason for choosing this car as the first foldable van is because it has emerged as an important role in the films Ant-man and Wasp (2018) and Avengers End game (2019).
