GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
Christmas is coming! One of the best animals for Christmas is probably a deer. So I designed a folding deer this time.
It is the third in the series of foldable animals, which, like the rest of the animals, implements the movement of the legs and the movement of the neck. It was very difficult to make a foldable structure while keeping the deer's thin but powerful shape. Nevertheless, it was designed to print the horns at once.
※ Some parts may fall during printing, so please use Raft in this case.
The folding process is as follows:
1. Fold the middle torso first, then fold the hips, and then insert the folded hips into the middle torso.
2. And fold the body/shoulders and fit it into the middle torso.
3. Finally, put the deer's head in the body to complete.
After the folding process, sometimes the inserted parts may come loose and come off, so it is better to use glue.
