GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
One of the animals that symbolizes winter is the penguin~ Penguins are loved by many people and are the main characters of animations and popular characters. Already there are many penguins for 3D printing, but I made up my own way of capturing the shortcomings.
The form is made of cute baby penguins. Wings move up and down and may raise their heads. And short feet move back and forth. The reason for this movement is to allow this penguin to swim pose.
In order to make this swimming posture possible, a new structure was developed and applied.
The folding method is to fit the frame that connects the head and legs to one body and the other half of the body.
