GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.

This time, I finally challenged the tank. Yes, it is a foldable tank. The first selected model was the German Tiger-1 late model, well known in World War II.

Since almost every detail has been expressed, just looking at it will give you great pleasure.
As with other designs, this design has a lot of moving parts, especially wheels, so it is necessary to adjust the height of the nozzle well so that the gaps do not stick when printing the first layer.
In particular, the most important thing to note when printing this design is to print the Track / caterpillar. Pay attention to the print of the first layer so that the Track / caterpillars do not stick together.

The process of folding this design is as follows.
1. Fold the front part first. Since the living hinge is used, fold it carefully and slowly so as not to break it.
2. Insert the side part with wheels on the front part and the top part. Check and fit each protrusion and hole.
3. Insert the rest of the side part. The body has been completed.
4. Connect the two tracks / caterpillars first.
5. Wind the track / caterpillar around the wheel. There is a change in shape, and the non-simple side is the outside of the track / caterpillar.
6. Fit the start and end parts of the track / caterpillar.
7. Put the cannon on the turret.
8. Glue the small parts on the back.

※ If the track is loose, try the following method.
1. If you increase the material flow in all slicers, more material will be discharged and the volume of the part will increase. This effect reduces the gap between the parts so that the tracks do not come loose or fall out.
2. And in case of using additional Cura, use Outer wall inset or Skin overlap percentage option.

Most default extrusion width is 0.45mm in Prusa slicer.
If your nozzle diameter is 0.4mm, this setting is not good.
So you have to change extrusion width to 0.4mm

If changing the settings like this does not solve the problem, try increasing the Extrusion multiplier.

If the tracks become loose, Simplify 3D users should make sure the Extrusion Width is Auto.
    It should be Manual/0.4mm.

Anyone have some tips on printing the tracks out? I'm using a Prusa i3 mk3s and have tried both .2 and .1 settings but the tracks just fall apart. As soon as I try to take them off the bed they just crumble all individually. Am I missing something here?

I had the same problem with my mk3s. I fixed it by setting an xy size compensation in prusaslicer. It can be found under advanced in print settings and make sure you have expert mode selected. I only needed a small value of .02 but yours will probably be different. Also make sure you check the actual size of your filament with calipers to make sure you aren't under extruding. As a side effect it will make the treads longer so I removed 1 link and it seemed to fit fine.

    Great idea ,

but i cant print this .
in the first run the connector in front los the contact.
in the second run , the tires losing on the bad.
i think the tires size is to small.

And the printtime with 0.2 and the dafault size of the tank is verry to hight after 10 of 16 hours the print is over.

This print must cut in more pices , who i can print the tyres of the chain . the main hull body musst to print in a only pices. And the printtime goes on more days.

The one time I got the small hinge to stick to the print bed I had the exact same issue as you the wheels failed. I printed a calibration cube and found I was slightly under extruding. That seems to have fixed the issue with the wheels failing to print. Maybe that will fix your problem too.

I've tried about half a dozen times to print your tank but there is a small hinge that keeps lifting off the print bed. It prints to about 1mm then it fails. Is there any way you can make it larger to increase bed adhesion?

yes in my first run , i have this to
