GOODesign

GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.

Elon Musk is a true pioneer of this era. He broke the existing framework and it has gained the support of many people. This is a fresh shock to many who firmly believe in the existing order. He accelerated the popularization of electric vehicles, spread progressive designs to the public through cyber trucks, and finally began a full-fledged private space project.

Celebrating the launch of his successful spacecraft this time, I designed a dragon capsule and trunk.
This design is not foldable, but the capsules and trunk are fully structured and functional. The details were also made as much as possible. Its features are:

1. The hatch can be opened and closed.
2. The trunk can be connected.
3. You can connect by moving the umbilical connection.

Here's how to assemble this SpaceX Dragon capsule and trunk.

1. Insert the inner part of the capsule into the outer part. At this point, pay attention to the direction of the hatch.
2. Install the hatch. At this time, pay attention to the direction.
3. The trunk, first rotates the umbilical connection outward.
4. Rotate the bottom part.
5. Combine the holes in the bottom of the capsule with the projections on the trunk according to the direction.
6. Rotate and connect the umbilical connection.
7. Capsule and trunk are detachable.

Printing on Prusa and building process

I plan to build a Falcon 9 rocket in the near future. Please look forward to it.
I look forward to an era where space travel is possible as soon as possible.

Awesome model, how do I go about making this and the Falcon 9 to 1:110 to match the Lego Saturn V model?

    Hello,
Awesome model! I'm totally blind, so I need a bit of extra description regarding assembly.
I'm having trouble figuring out where the hatch cover goes. I'm wondering if it may not have printed correctly.
I fit the inner capsule into the outer shell. I assume I did it correctly, since it only appeared to fit one way. The hinged bit at the bottom of the inner capsule fits into a slot in the bottom of the outer one. I assume this hinged bit is the umbilical.
I'm in the process of printing the trunk now. Can someone describe where the hatch cover is supposed to go? I assume it goes on the capsule, and not the trunk.
If the hatch cover is supposed to have moving parts, mine doesn't.
    Thanks for any assistance.

Had a lot of fun with this model. Printed on an Elegoo Neptune 2S, used white, black, metalic blue, metalic gray, and silver filament to print. I made a couple of small changes, I split the trunk to print half black as the actual dragon is, and printed the inner section in silver and letalic gray. Great model, thanks Fab365.

    Your printing is awesome!!!
For Elegoo Neptune 2S 3D printer user, your review will be very helpful.
Thank you for printing and sharing your photo!

Terrible first print of the inner part. Since there are no instructions that came with the files, I made some bad assumptions about orientation and support methods. A video is not setup instructions. I'm not sure, I will bother with the rest.....

Would you redesign the Trunk so it could be printed in two colors? Half white and Half black.

This file looks amazing! I just started printing now. I figured I would let you know that I am actually printing this as a gift to someone who is actually going up on the next flight! It's the first all civilian flight into space. The flight is called Inspiration 4.

I really love the design. I made a point of printing it in PEtG, as that's what I always use. It took some finetuning, but I'm really chuffed with the outcome. What a great model!!

I am having issues printing the hatch cover, the inside connector keeps moving. I have a Prusa MK3S. Any ideas would be appreciative.

The bed adhesion is weak, so it seems to have fallen during printing.
Strengthen bed adhesion(glue stick) or use raft.

Hi, I am facing the same issue, I am using a Prusa PEI sheet, cleaned with soap and IPA. Bed adhesion doesn't seem to be the cause of this problem.
I tried thee times, even with glue stick but it did not help. I think it happens when printing the bridge of the center part.
I am now trying with a support for this area.
