GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
With the request and high vote from FAB365.net's request page, this time, I created a Russian folding T34-85 tank that was renowned in World War II.
T-34-85 Tank request ➪
This tank was the main Russian tank of the time when Germany created the Tiger tank to fight against it during World War II.
When designing this, I planned to use the structure of the folding Tiger tank I made earlier. However, since the T34-85 tank is smaller in size than the previously created Tiger tank, the structure of the folding Tiger tank cannot be used and the new structure is applied. (It always seems like that.)
The structure of two wheels on one wheel axle was also difficult to fit in a small size. Making the caterpillar to engage the wheels of the rear wheel structure was to create a new caterpillar that was completely different from the one used for the foldable Tiger tank previously.
The folding process is as follows.
1. Fit the front and bottom parts of the body.
2. Insert the part with wheels on the left side to the left side of the body.
3. Insert the part with wheels on the right side to the right side of the body.
4. Connect the tracks with a long one. Prepare two sets of this.
5. Put the prepared tracks on one of the wheels, align it with the concave groove of the rear wheel, and then insert and connect the beginning and end of the track. Connect the track on the other side in the same way.
6. Put the gun on the turret.
7. Attach the cartridge with adhesive.

Most default extrusion width is 0.45mm in Prusa slicer.
If your nozzle diameter is 0.4mm, this setting is not good.
So you have to change extrusion width to 0.4mm
If changing the settings like this does not solve the problem, try increasing the Extrusion multiplier.
If the tracks become loose, Simplify 3D users should make sure the Extrusion Width is Auto.
It should be Manual/0.4mm.
I purchased this file to print on our Prusa Mk3. The print quality is really good however the links on the caterpillar wheels do not stay together. Can you suggest a print setting to change in order to improve this? Thank you!
I suggest to increase extrusion multiplier.
I material extrude more, the out skin if every parts will expend. And tracks will not loose.
Thank you~
ok. I'll give that a try. What increments do you suggest to go up on the extrusion multiplier?
It's hard to tell, as each printer has a different conditions.
Same problem here, caterpillars are just impossible to print properly. If every customer has a problem you shall look at changing the design ... I printed the part 4 times with a MK3S which printed EVERYTHING perfectly until I tried these caterpillars. Not happy here ...
We tested with many times with many 3D printers I have.
Printed in the way we recommend and many users have succeeded in printing. Please check our recommendations.

Thank you~
It finally worked thanks to your help.
I used 1.25 extrusion multiplier
0.10 layer height
30mm/s speed
0.40 extrusion width.
I apologize for the bad review but maybe you shall include these tips in your printing tips page. All good now
We are happy that you succeed.
We will adopt soon.
Thank you~
