GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
It’s a desktop stand design of design series that uses framed structure that is wound to the opposite direction. It is possible to install the lighting inside the thin structure by using LED unit.
Being the width of lower part and the length of top in harmony, it was adjusted not to be fallen down easily different from its look.
The order of assembly is as follows.
1) First stick the body with a paper or wood adhesive. (It is recommended to harden it for a day.)
2) Stick LED unit inside the transparent part with a double-sided tape, and fix it.
3) Put the cable, connected to LED unit, into the part of LED unit to be combined in the top of body, and let it out of the inferior dead end of body.
4) Fix the transparent part, with a double-sided tape, to the body.
5) Connect the cable to the adapter.
The part of LED unit to be installed must be put for the light to be well transmitted only by using transparent materials. The body had better be stuck by a paper and wood adhesive so that it becomes transparent after its being dried. However, it takes so much time to be hardened. And it is rather good to stick the transparent part with a double-sided tape than with an adhesive before its decomposition and assembly.
It is mainly used as a stand for work or studies, but is suitable for any place of interior such as a living room and bedroom. Bright colors such as white or ivory color are easy for the materials, but it is possible to obtain the dignified result even by black color.
