GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
There are many classic sci-fi movies and TV shows that are still loved over time, and so is Red Dwarf.
First aired on the BBC in 1988, Red Dwarf has a lot of fans among our customers, and we've been asked to build a spaceship or robot to appear in. Among them, the request to make the Star Bug, a spaceship, was the most requested. So I made it by applying the Print-in-place Articulated design method.
1. It is designed so that the front and rear parts can be separated.
2. The legs can be rotated back and forth to express the landing status and flight status.
3. It is designed to move without assembling the foot part.
Please check the video for detailed structure and the process of folding and connecting to completion.

Very cool. This is the first and only model I've paid for, as the free attempts I found just weren't quite right. This one has nailed it. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
We hope you like this.
And we look forward to your review~
Years ago, before PayPal, I had won a resin model kit of Starbug on Ebay... my wife encouraged me, and I ended up spending 300.00 for it!
Yeah, I know... I know. I felt ill.
The seller was in the UK, and I sweated bullets the entire time that money order was going across the pond, and the kit was sent back.
The model, when it arrived, was the bare minimum version... no detail to speak of, and it was weeks as I added bits and pieces to it to get it to look semi accurate!
Unfortunately, a house fire destroyed it.
So imagine my surprise last week when I see an ad for this on Facebook?
I just finished printing the back section this morning, opting for 200% size, as I wanted this a nice big size, and even though it pretty much ate a whole spool of filament, I couldn't be happier!!!
The sheer detail on this is staggering! I've only just begun sanding this down, to prepare for priming, but I can see this is going to look amazing!
Thank you... THANK you so very much for making this!!!
Your Star Bug story is very touching. I am very happy that my designs have brought you joy.
In the future, I will try to make many good designs to give great joy to customers.
Thanks for your good article.
