GOODesign

GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.

Fab365.net is constantly growing. With challenging and diverse attempts, 3D printing design technology is growing and improving day by day. This is thanks to our customers, and in order to reward them, we are always trying to make what they have requested from our customers.
So this time, I designed the Star Wars X-wing, which has been the number one request for a long time.

I'm obsessed with dividing color parts these days. This is because it brings out the charm of 3D printing by combining the colors of the filament well. There are a few parts, but I hope you can feel the charm of the filament color combination through this design.

Things to note when assembling are as follows.

1. When connecting the upper and lower parts of the fuselage, there are parts that are inserted on the left and right. When connecting the fuselage parts, be careful to connect the fuselage while pressing these parts strongly left and right.
2. It is good to use adhesive to attach color parts, but it can be confusing, so please check the location carefully before using adhesive.
3. The laser gun at the tip of the wing is connected by sliding it. However, you have to push it all the way to the end to insert it, so please check it carefully.
4. Before assembling the wing and fuselage, it is recommended to glue the deflector shield projector of the wing first.

Please check the video for more details.

    good morning
i have try to print the body of x-wing but i dont understand why the first layer come out not perfect.

If you used Raft, that's natural, if you didn't use Raft, the nozzle is too high.
    Please readjust the nozzle height.

i haven't used raft and the first layer calibration is good

If primo layer means first layer, then try reducing it to 0.2 mm as you can se its set up to 0.4 mm (very high) and maybe that is the cause of that very fat first layer.
Set first layer and all other layer heoght to 0.2 use glue stick to better adhesion to the bed and fine tune your bed leveling.

Cannot for the life of me get the wings to print on my mk3s+. Tried using the settings for PrusaSlicer recommended in other comments, using brim, different filaments and brands (both PLA and PETG), smooth vs textured PEI sheet, recalibrating everything, etc. I must be at like 8 failed prints now.

Eventually at some point during the print something always comes loose or tips over.

In your case, it is because the adhesion between the printer's bed and the filament does not match well.
The solution to this is to use Raft or hair gel.

In our experience, powder coated beds do not have high adhesion.

In the PrusaSlicer, I have to set the scale to 108% to get the support on the wings to print correctly. At 100% it looks like the included photo. Is there an option I'm not setting correctly?

Try enabling 'Detect Thin Walls' in the print settings tab.

Lovely model, thank you! I printed it scaled up to 125% because the original size wings were a little delicate. Large parts printed on Creality CR10 V2, greebles and little parts on my Flashforge Finder.

    Amazing model. Printed easily.

Was wondering is there an Y-wing in the making (or are there any plans for making it)? It would be awesome to add it to the X-wing :) Cheers.
