GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
Fab365's heavy equipment series are very popular. So this time I designed a dump truck as the heavy-duty series that followed.
The support is designed for stable printing of the car body. Please cut this after printing.
The original dump truck piston is 3 stage, but due to the limitations of FDM 3D printers I designed it as a 4 stage piston.
Today's dump trucks put a lot of work into design and color. Reflecting this point, I also tried to divide the colors.
It is better to use a filament made of a soft material such as TPU for the tire.
It can be a bit difficult to fit the bucket into the car body. The order is to insert the rearmost hinge of the bucket into the car body first, and then insert the middle folding arm into the car body. And finally, press the piston into the bucket. Please refer to the video for the detailed process.

I'm thinking of more heavy equipment designs in the future, so please make a lot of requests.
