GOODesign
GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
In case of printing out the existing scan data as it is, you need a number of support and take a lot of time to do postprocess, and people without its experience can hardly dare it. Also, the small printer losses the detailed part of this great data and is hard for people to watch. By supplementing this point, it was divided for anyone to print it out easy and largely regardless of a printer size.
It is recommended to turn on the support option for the part of support to be generated. However, the part, where the support is generated, is not visible after its assembly, and needs to have a simple post-process.
Most carefully, it is necessary not to let the output to be floated over the build plate floor due to the contraction in order to prevent the divided part from being visible.
The upper body and arm reaches less to build plate, and it is recommendable to set Raft or Brim wider than as usual so that it should not break away during the printing-out.
The order of adhesion is better to stick it from the lower part to the upper part, and to dry it for a long time by using a glue for paper and wood.
For printing this statue out, it is not necessary to lower the layer thickness too much to obtain the smooth surface. In spite of the layer thickness, it gives a feeling of being a patterned marble or cut tree, and it is better to use the settings of which 3D printer of yours prints out best.
It is highly used as an interior prop in any place that you want to produce a classical atmosphere (café, wine bar, library, living room & library etc.). And it is good for people to appreciate artwork, and helpful to study the history of Europe.
