GOODesign
GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
I've finally completed the Saturn V rocket that spacecraft/rocket fans have been constantly asking me to build.
Features of this design include:
1. The process of launching this rocket, landing on the moon, and returning to Earth was all reproduced as desired.
2. Efficient color segmentation tried to color the prototype Saturn V well.
3. I tried to express all the details based on various materials.
This design, like the other rockets I've designed, is large and has a lot of parts, so it will take a long time to complete a print.
There are a few things to note about this process.
1. Depending on the separation phase of your rocket, there are things you can and shouldn't use glue for. Please check this carefully.
2. The characters are slightly skewed for better printing. Please check the direction of this tilt carefully and put it in advance before bonding.
3. Fold the escape tower well and insert it well into the hole at the bottom of the launch escape system and insert it well into the hole at the top of the boost protective cover. And use adhesive to fix it, so you have to be careful to fit it vertically.
4. The lunar lander's landing gear fits well by turning and twisting it like the pistons of the heavy equipment I designed. These landing gears have a slight indentation where the U-shaped structure fits, care must be taken not to break this part.
5. Alphabets are written from A to D on the booster stabilizer fin of the first stage rocket. Please check this order and the position where they fit.
As always, we hope for a lot of support from fans in the aerospace field.

Beautiful design and excellent work, thanks! I have two points:
1) Would it be possible to share the assembled model? Ideally STEP / IGES, but STL is also fine. Individual parts in STL are difficult to work with and i would like to have a 3D assembled model of my printed model.
2) One technical detail. Second and third stage on real Saturn V have same J-2 engines (second stage have five pcs and third have one). In your model, engines on second stage have plus minus correct scale, but on third stage is engine twice as large. Perhaps the intention was that third stage could stand vertically and not fall, but it is not real. Even the LEGO's Saturn V followed real model and have same engines on second and third stage.
DON'T PRINT Fab365_Saturn_V_Third_Stage_Assembly_Bottom_White.stl, NOT match with black ring .
The STL Second_Stage_Assembly_Top_Black is wrong!
I want back my money!
Has anyone figured this out? Im having the same problem.
Bonjour,
Steve
Try re-downloading the files.
The STL version I have of the Second_Stage_Assembly_Top_Black only has three tabs, like the image posted by stevenslille4217. It lines up perfectly with the slots on the bottom of Third_Stage_Assembly_Bottom_White.
Had to react , am thrilled to make this for my grandson !!!
He has his birthday in august and I'm planning to get this done by then ;-)
Again thanks and greetings from the Netherlands
Are you going to make the gantry in the near future?
I'm having a problem print the first stage 3 pieces of black. Shortly after it begins to print, about a 1/4 inch up the layers start to separate. I printed all the white with no issues at all. Any ideas what could be wrong?
In this case, the filament flows out well, but for some reason, it is temporarily blocked and then flows out again.
When the nozzle is temporarily clogged, the filament does not come out, so the layers are not created, and when the filament comes out again, the filament is piled up in the air, and the re-created part is separated.
It is recommended to change the filament.
Thank you~
Sounds like dodgy filament try another color to see if it still happens
would this work on a resin printer?
Unlike other designs, this design does not have a mechanical hinge and can be printed on a resin printer. However, if the physical properties of the material used for the resin are too hard, the part using the living hinge may break when folded.
Please check this out.
I was wondering if you had plans to release a launch pad or gantry to serve as a stand for this model?
Could you ask or vote on my request page please?

Thank you~
It really would be helpful if you provided more detail on which filament was used to print.
I can't get the third stage assembly mid black to load, no matter what slicer I try to use. What the heck!
Hi bassjo2676442,
We have just checked and we have discovered that, depending on which slicer, certain files do not open. We are sorry for the trouble and we will make the correction as soon as possible.
Thank you for understanding
Thank you for your patience. We have discovered that the size of the file has caused an error for certain slicer. We have fixed the file and so please download the file again. Thank you for your understanding.
Thanks, I downloaded it again, it worked without any issues. However, this wasn't slicer specific, I tried to open it with Bambu Studio, Orca, Prusaslicer, Cura, it would just freeze and quit to desktop with any slicer.
Error Message from PrusaSlicer: Processing Model 'Fab365_Saturn_V_Third_Stage_Assembly_Mid_Black.stl" with more than 1M triangles could be slow. It is highly recommend to reduce amount of triangles. Simplify Model
And it took about 1hr 10 mins to load
You can reduce the complexity by high clicking on it and pressing "Simplify Model". Drop it below 300,000 and you'll be fine.
