GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
I have expanded and applied my design style to various objects. In particular, many attempts have been made in automobiles, and what has been achieved so far is the supercar.
The reason is that the shape of the supercar is flat and the shape is very complicated. When the shape is flat and complex, it is difficult to put a structure into it.
However, I decided that I could not postpone it any longer, so I took on the challenge this time.
I couldn't try too difficult form from the beginning, so I chose the relatively low difficulty Lamborghini Countach.
As mentioned earlier, the car was too flat, so I chose the car's scale to be a bit larger, 1:24.
The biggest challenge in this design is, above all, the construction of the scissor doors. After several attempts, Scissor doors were created.
Because of the large scale of this design, I managed to reproduce all the opening and closing devices that I could not try in the 1:38 scale that I had previously designed.
This design has a lot of parts, so there are a few precautions when assembling.
1. Make sure that the left and right of the scissor door hinge is not reversed.
2. The width of the front and rear of the tire is different, so check this.
3. It is better to install the front window after assembling the upper and lower body. Otherwise, it is difficult to identify the projections and holes that connect the upper and lower bodies. The front window can be inserted easily by assembling the upper and lower bodies of the Scissor doors, then opening and pressing the Scissor doors.
4. When attaching the front bumper, glue should be applied only to the projections. If applied to other areas, the hood may become stuck and not open.
For more details on the assembly process, please check out the video.

While this attempt was completed, the existing folding structure was considerably abandoned, and there were many parts to assemble and attach. that's a bit disappointing.
However, if the response of this design is very good, I will try to design more supercars in the future, reduce attached parts and apply my design style more to pursue new fun of 3D printing.

This is a great design. It's okay not having the standard print-in-place snap-fit style because I like having all the different parts so that I can use different colors on more parts. Do you know how much I would have to enlarge the model to make it 1:18 scale instead of 1:24?
Hi dude,
To get a scale 1:18 from 1:24 you should enlarge the model by 133.3333%.
