GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
There are a lot of Tesla enthusiasts among manufacturers using 3D printers. That's why the Space-X series and Cybertruck I designed are very popular. And they're driving Tesla cars too.
To repay the support of these countless people, we designed the Model 3 this time.
The Tesla Model 3 suffered considerable difficulties due to the unique structure of its all-glass roof. So I couldn't reproduce all the parts that open and close except for the hood.
Instead, we tried one new thing, and that's the side of this car.
The cars I have designed so far have very prominent laminated traces like tree rings on the side of the car due to the printing direction according to the characteristics of the folding structure. So, I thought about how to reduce this, but this time, I took off the side door thinly and printed it separately. As a result, the design and character lines of the side of this Model 3 car were more clearly visible.
However, it may be difficult to apply this method to all cars. Model 3 was possible because the shape of the split line on the door coincided well.
Caution!
When opening the hood, you must push it forward. Opening the hood by simply lifting it may cause the front windows to fall. Please be careful.
I don't own a Tesla car, but the experience of printing my own car with my 3D printer would be great.

I'm really enjoying all your models so far. Great improvement with this one with separate doors to get rid of layer lines.
After printing quite a few of your models I have only one wish for a small improvement. Please add suggested colour (colour A, colour B etc) to the filenames. This will make the printing much faster to organise.
Printed it twice, I'll take some pictures. The original scale is tough to print. So i made a 1/24 version. 158%. Though it probably should have been 156%. Everything looks ok, but for some reason the wheels seem too small. I can't really put my finger on it. Also the rear facing side cameras are missing. However I understand at the original scale they'd be hard to add. Still it was fun to print and the larger version went together very well. Tight!
Currently printing this at 175% scale.
Looking good so far. I will post pictures once completed.
Would love to see you also model the X the S and the Y cars also.
