Pepperbox is leading the business related to 3D printing with the motto “Make colorful the world with 3D printing”. Among 3D printing-related businesses, it stands out in 3D modeling, because it accurately understands 3D printing characteristics and uses them to design various and unique shapes. We reject the commercialization of non-individuality and respect the beauty of numerous diversity. Pepebox will help the world move forward through 3D printing.

What I designed this time is a butterfly that represents insects with colorful patterns.
Butterflies are insects that have been loved by many people because they have colorful colors and patterns.
There are many different types of butterflies all over the world, and they come in many different shapes, sizes, and colors.
The butterfly I designed is a newly drawn pattern with reference to the various patterns of the butterflies, and I designed it so that you can feel its beauty from any direction by engraving patterns on both sides of the front and back.

The bottom surface has a complex shape, but it can be printed stably by designing it so that no single piece of pattern falls off using a single-stroke drawing pattern.
Wings can be posed in three different forms: fully spread, half folded, and fully folded.
The antennae and legs must be printed separately and assembled, and in some cases, glue may be used.
0.1mm laminated printing is ideal, and the filament can be replaced during printing to combine colors and emphasize patterns.

Fold the legs and antennae and attach them with glue. The folding direction is important, so please refer to the video.

Other than that, check out the video for more details on printing and assembling.

I've printed a few of these and love the look. But I am having trouble with layer adhesion around layer 5-7 around the hinge for the wings\body I have tried lowering my bottom layers and adding gyroid infil and seem to get a little better response do you have a suggestion of a way to make this area a little stronger? i.e printing the hole model slightly bigger
