GOODesign
GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
I have redesigned many items from the Star Wars series to make them easier to 3D print. And because of its popularity
has been continuously designed. However, some items have too complex structures and are difficult to maintain.
One of them is the AT-ST.
The AT-ST has a very tall top and very thin legs. Therefore, it was difficult to design for 3D printing because it was unstable to maintain the posture and a lot of load was applied to the joints. In particular, it was almost impossible to apply the folding design, which is a feature of my design.
So, this time, rather than insisting on my design style, I decided to focus on reproducing the actual form and completed it like this.
This design has a lot of parts for detail and movement. Therefore, when inserting or attaching parts, the position or shape must be checked in advance.
Please note that the moving parts (legs, waist, etc.) will wear out and become loose if you move them too many times.
On the other hand, if it is too tight, pouring sewing machine oil between the gaps of the parts will help the parts move well.
Please watch the video very closely and check the assembly process several times.
For a more stable posture, we are planning to design a pedestal to fix the feet, so please look forward to it!

I LOVED THIS PRINT. AMAZING AT-ST
I don't use PETG, I'm useing PLA + it's stronger then PLA but you have to increase the temperature.
Very, very good Work.
Thank You!
PS Where do the red plates go???? :-D
Buenos días, consulta como es eso del Trichet que tenemos que descargar
Hi, I want to print this model but I have a question regarding the tolerances (horizontal expansion), what parameters do you recommend using?
Hello, PrusaSlicer founds some errors in a few stl files.
Is it recommended to repair them before slicing, I guess?
I use PETG printer, and Cura slicer, so what settings should I use?
We don't use PETG, but I'm guessing it's the same as the PLA setting except for the increased temperature.
Please enjoy~
Are ypu gonna make a base for this model? i ask because the model have a hole in the foot
Sure! We have plan for that!
Please look forward to it!
es la mejor figura despues de la razor crest que hayan creado
Thank you so much for your printing and comment!
got the download Printing as we speak just need to find some angry Ewoks to go with it!
