GOODesign
GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
The P-51 Mustang designed this time has already been requested by several people. However, with the release of the movie Top Gun 2 and my design of the F-18 Hornet to coincide with, the requests increased enormously. Because it was owned by Tom Cruise in the movie.
The popularity of the movie Top Gun 2 was great.
So, I designed this time to respond to your requests.
The P-51 Mustang was active in various wars such as World War II and the Korean War, and is so popular that a small number are still in operation even after the war is over. And as popular as it is, there are various paintings. So, I also divided the colors so that you can apply different colors.
There's nothing too difficult about printing and folding, but you just need to be careful about a few things.
1. When gluing the propeller cover, try to fit it in advance and apply the glue to the part where there is no problem with rotation.
2. When attaching the flap to the main wing, there is a distinction between the top and the bottom, so please adjust it in advance before applying the adhesive.

The landing gear covers just don't fit, my printer is dialed in, it's not a flow issue. I've tried scaling them up slightly and bumping up the flow but they just wont stay on. You can even see in your assembly video that the front gear covers just fall and hang there. Can you please add more points for it to hold on to, or just design it to fit snugger?
Would you please include the US National Insignia in a redesign of this aircraft?
please!
Wow! I'm so excited my submission request got picked up! Hopefully my T-38A Talon gets picked up (I get to fly in those) and to whoever said it, Yes a display stand would be awesome. I think we just have to ask nice. It is probably being worked on...Thanks FAB 365!
I find it interesting you included the German insignia into the BF 109 but not the P-51.
Warum sollte die P-51 Deutsche Abzeichen tragen ?.
I agree!
display stand?
I tried adding my own hole with a lighter and screwdriver lol..I think it will work temporarily...my first prints always go to my 3 year old son. But definitely would like to get that hole in there for when I start selling it.
We checked on various slicers and found no issues. Please refer to the attached image. Please download the data again and try again.
And in the settings, you need to set the nozzle to 0.4 and turn off the support.
Looks like you guys fixed it in a file that was uploaded after I initially downloaded it. Not sure when you guys fixed it - but the zip was was smaller on the version I downloaded as shown below. Maybe I was too early to download it (I'm always an early adopter lol. Regardless, thanks for fixing it.
Seems like there is a mistake on the body. The right wing doesn't have a hole like the other wing. The far end - for the small flap. I am trying to cut it and make my own. If you could reupload though for when I make this again that would be great.

would be nice if there honest track with version numbers. Version of the model I downloaded today is different from the one I got yesterday. Specifically, in download from 8/17/2023 the built in supports on Fab365_P51-D_Mustang_Body.stl were missing as well as a hole. The ZIP file I downloaded today has different size and features supports as on the video. To prove my point further the modified date on that one file has changed and is different from the rest of the files.
It would be really helpful if you kept a record of file versions and fixes between them. It wasn't obvious that redownloading would help. Not sure if it was intentional or by some weird mistake, but the fact is the first version did have the issue reported by two users here.
Attached screenshots intentionally show unsliced model to exclude any slicer setting related issues
This is exactly what I saw as well. The first zip was smaller. I originally downloaded it yesterday at some time. The supports weren't there for me either.
