GOODesign
GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf. This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.
We have finally designed the Warthog, a vehicle from the masterpiece game Halo, which has many fans. As always, this time I tried to describe every detail.
Because the Warthog is a vehicle that appears in a game set in the distant future, it is very different from existing vehicle structures. Additionally, it is a convertible-like vehicle without a ceiling. I once built a Willys Jeep without a ceiling, but it was boxy and very simple in shape.
In order to express this complex, futuristic, and convertible vehicle in a folding structure, the folding structure became very complicated. The reason the structure became complicated is because I wanted to express the detailed shape of the lower body as much as possible.
Although it is such a complex structure, if you fold only the lower body, which is the basic framework, the rest of the parts are very easy.
It is recommended that you carefully identify the positions of the protrusions and holes before inserting them.
Be sure to watch the video closely for the process of creating this basic body.
For stable printing, custom supports were made and attached to the windshield and body parts. Be sure to cut it before assembling.
Other features include: ‘L’ is written on the left tire and ‘R’ is written on the right tire to avoid confusion about the tire pattern.
And the machine gun (Gatling gun) was designed not only to rotate 360 degrees, but also to rotate the barrel.
As I was trying to express the machine gun exactly like the game, there are some small parts, so please be sure to check the video and photos for the location and shape of these parts. It may also be helpful to refer to game photos.
Please watch the video to learn more about the printing and making process!

I'm very excited to finally be able to answer the requests of Halo fans.
We look forward to happy printing for Halo fans!
Please enjoy~

Just a suggestion...
Instead of export a bunch of stl files.
Export as a project in Orca or Bambu Slicer with different plates for color\Material.
Make it much more manageable, instead of us figuring it out which stl should be gray or green. Thanks.
Could you add ball bearing to the wheels?
where are the side steps? it's what you install at 4min 35 seconds on you youtube video
The file has been uploaded again. Check it out.

The side step file has been added and fixed. Please check it out.
Thank you for your printing sharing~
Grat model. I think that making foldable models is your company thing and what makes those models unique, but also is limiting quality and printability of some models. Please more video game related models. Ian dont rush!!! ;-)
Your printing and color theme is awesome!!!
Thank you for printing and sharing photos.
