Training Aids of Dokdo for Geography Education
Dokdo is a very important island, located on the very east of Korea. Therefore, it has the very high educational value but, at the same time, is a very hard to reach in person, as we can go there only when the weather allows us. Therefore, we have experienced it only indirectly with materials such as its photograph or image. In order to reduce such a sense of frustration, training materials have been made for us to get several information of Dokdo and to watch it closely. The following information was displayed for it to be used as training materials.

1. Dokdo’s address
Few people knows the address of Dokdo exactly. Therefore, the exact address of Dokdo was carved on the right side of Dongdo island base.

2. Names of each island
Dokdo is divided largely in Dongdo Island and Seodo Island. These two islands’ forms are very different. Therefore, names of each island were left in front of each island’s support to know it easily.

3. Latitude and longitude of Dokdo
Measuring the latitude and longitude is the surest way to know its geographic location. Therefore, we drew parallel and vertical over a sea for this location of Dokdo, and wrote the exact latitude and longitude at the end.

As characteristic of its composition, it was made possibly large for us to watch the geography of Dokdo in detail, and to print it out by dividing it. This composition was divided in three parts such as Dongdo, Seodo and its name. Gathering them together, we can watch the form of Dokdo at last.



Through this training material, we hope people to watch the beauty of Dokdo, located at the farthest east of Korea, and use it to teach.
