GOODesign is a design studio established in Seoul, Korea by a representative who has been active in product design and 3D CG field for 20 years. As a design company that pursues a reasonable and differentiated digital design, it has always presented a new direction through working with clients such as Hyundai Motor, Siemens Korea and beiersdorf.   This time, we have put out the life product for 3D printing by utilizing various technique design based on the shape of the Class-A surface. These products are especially the result of deep research on the 3D printing dominant shape that can not be mass-produced using a mold.

It is Tea-Light (candlelight) support series of middle height that has harmonized mechanical beauty of form and curve. It is easy to light a candlelight, and the lower part was designed too wider to be fallen down. The wound form completes a very strong structure with its aesthetic. Especially the intermittent structure that is bent to the opposite direction balances the structure that can be inclined to one side. It is devised to be moved by taking the lower part that it not only produces mood but also displays the role of lighting on emergency.

The structure of repeatedly rotating pattern cannot be produced in massive production by mold.

Tea light refers to candle contained in a small plastic or metal container. The word Tea-Light was used because it was used to warm a teapot. Tea-Light is a small candle, but can be used to produce a delicate atmosphere as decoration by using Tea-Light holder. It can produce a new atmosphere by using Tea-Light candle as the low candlelight height was designed as high, which is the disadvantage of most of Tea-Light holder.

It is composed of a structure that needs no support so that it can be easily printed out even by a printer, and it does not need turn on support option in slicing software. Therefore, it can be easily printed out by any type of 3D printer.

The materials used for FDM 3D printing (mainly PLA, ABS etc.) are melted over 200℃, which is strongly resistant to heat. Therefore, lighting a candle stands to be melted, and to be burnt or melted even though the candle is lighted. Moreover, the upper part was designed to be in a proper distance from candlelight that it presents no preoccupation of being burnt or melted even though the candlelight is turned on for a long time.

The size of this Tea-Light is of 9cm (diameter) and 12cm (height), and is compatible with common Tea-Light of 4cm (diameter) and 2.5cm (height).
